Lady GaGa stunned the crowd once again at the iHeartRadio Music Festival over the weekend. Not this time because of her highly imaginative or outrageous dress and dangerously high heels but quite the opposite.
Wearing a classic and very elegant LBD, oversized sunglasses, black elbow length evening gloves, the obligatory set of pearls and her hair was pulled back into a Hepburn chignon.
The Festival held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas also “American Idol’s” Jennifer Lopez who performed during the second night. Her fellow judges Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson also took the stage.
Other performers of note included: Nicole Scherzinger, Rascall Flatts, Kenny Chesney, Sublime, Natasha Bedingfield, Nicki Minaj and Sting; who even momentarily locked lips with Gaga herself on stage. The jam-packed second night of the festival followed its opening night, where The Black Eyed Peas, Bruno Mars, Jane’s Addiction, Coldplay and Jay-Z also took the stage.
Not to disappoint her little monsters however, when Lady Gaga hit the stage she had changed into “biker-style costume” that included stiletto boots and a black leather jacket. The most noteworthy moment went far beyond wardrobe, when she paused during her 45-minute performance in order to pay tribute to Jamey Rodemeyer, a gay teen who committed suicide last week after having been bullied.
“We lost a little monster this week,” she told the crowd, before dedicating a performance of “Hair” to him.
Usher, who sang “Without You,” will be reuniting with Lady Gaga for the upcoming “A Decade of Difference” concert celebrating former president Bill Clinton’s charitable work.
The two are to perform again on October 15, at the Hollywood Superbowl along with The Edge and Bono.
