So many collaborations going on right now, it’s hard to keep up!

Hot on the heels of Versace, H & M have recruited Trish Summerville, the costume designer on the much awaited Hollywood remake of the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo film.

David Fincher‘s adaptation of the first novel from the Millenium Trilogy by
the late author Stieg Larsson will be released on December 26.

The collection is  inspired by the series’ goth-punk heroine, Lisbeth
played by Rooney Mara. Bleached eyebrows, tattoos and piercings not included.

The 30-piece collection ranges in price from $3.95 for
tribal-inspired earrings to $199 for a leather jacket, and is made up of black,
gray, worn white or dark red. There will also be hoodies ($29.95) and
distressed lace-up boots ($59.95), as well as plenty of skinny leather and
denim pants.

The collection will be stocked under the retailer’s Divided range and will
debut exclusively at Colette in Paris on November 28. On December 14, the range
will then be go on sale in 180 selected stores H&M stores worldwide and


Rooney Mara - before the transformation into Lisbeth Salander

Mara underwent a total transformation for the role at Lisbeth Salander. Mara submitted to having her head shaved – and the remaining locks dyed black – her eyebrows bleached to appear invisible and various piercings in her ears and nose.

I am waiting in anticipation to see the film. Particularly as I have read through Stieg Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy……. hopefully there will then be The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest.
