As it was my birthday yesterday – hence no post. My hubby asked what I wanted to do later in the day. Of course who wouldn’t reply “shopping.” However, probably not what you would expect when I mentioned IKEA.
Atlantic Station here we come!. Yes, there is method in my madness. I wanted some ideas for our renovation project on the new property, in particular the Kitchen. As our kitchen space has 3 door outlets, 1 pantry and a small corridor (another outlet I suppose) that leads to a half bathroom, a closet and the family room. I was thinking about the available space.
Only part of the kitchen. Everything has to be ‘ripped’ out, including the floor! I have my crowbar ready!
Ikea Kitchens: I fell in love with the ceramic sinks, the up and over cupboards – (am vertically challenged!) But we were very impressed by the Kitchen Planner. However, as we had no measurements with us, I am going to explore more of the kitchen planner online.

Tempting kitchen space:
I think I may have too many ideas now!
Two of my favourite home decor stores are West Elm and ZGallerie, so while in Atlantic Station I checked them out. I have to say I was in my element.
ZGallerie.
I love the neutrality of these stylsih accesories.
West Elm Inspiration – Possiby Entrance Hallway Lighting.
Our entrance hallway is so high. At present it has a very large old fashioned brass lantern hanging there. This space would easily take a charismatic chandelier of huge proportions in size and money. However, I loved the simplicity of this lighting arrangement too. Imagine putting a few of these together at different lengths, to create something minimalistic and contemporary.
What do you think?
This fabulous Capiz Shell lIght fitting would look so stylish over my dining table!
Then on to a bite to eat and a glass of wine or two.
