The latest ’21’ album featuring the song “Someone Like You” is on course to sell 13 million copies by Christmas. The tale of her facing up to the end of a love – “never mind, I’ll find someone like you” – is half heart-wrenching, half uplifting. It has smashed Madonna’s record forr the longest consecutive weeks spent at the top of the album charts by a female solo artist.
I don’t know about you but when I first heard this song I had goose-bumps all over, it was obviously written and sung from the heart. She admits that the soulful song was based on a failed personal relationship. I had tears in my eyes!
