What will we remember 2011 for in the fashion world? Would it be:
The demise of John Galliano?
The premature death of Sultry Singer Amy Winehouse.
The shock suicide of Alexander McQueen
The world of fashion may have mourned the untimely death of Alexander McQueen.
Enough doom and gloom!
Out of the ashes rose Sarah Burton. Who can ever forget the Wedding Dress of the year?
And the wedding of the year goes to ……of course Prince William and Kate Middleton. Now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Kate hopefully will develop her own fashion style, and not live in the shadow of Diana – the late “Peoples Princess”.
We can not forget the wedding of Kate Moss and Jamie Hince, in her Galliano Gown.
The Dress of the Year for me has to be ‘Gucci Flapper Dress’
Watch out in 2012 for Florence Welch when she embarks on her North American Tour. Her closet will be full of Gucci.
As far as Designers are concerned. Victoria Beckham took the prize when she won the designer brand prize at the British Fashion Awards 2011
There is so much more….. but time is of the essence as 2011 comes to a close.
So we skip to a snip of the Pre Fall Collection 2012.
Donna Karan – Sophisicated Elegance
His and Hers Burberry Prorsum
Calvin Klein – Textured and Sassy
Chanel: A Taste of the Orient
Jason Wu: Kehole Hankerchief Dress
Thakoon: Animal Print Inspored Draped Wool Dress
If this has wet your appetite somewhat, there is more to come in 2012!
PLEASE no more Kardashion fashion, weddings or divorces in 2012!
